Kevin Kennedy Poll

Everyone seems to have an opinion of how well (or badly) Kevin Kennedy is doing in the TV booth so far this season so we figured we'd take a poll and see what the majority has to say:

I really like KK. He's doing a good job of breaking it down. However, for my money, the radio guys are the best. They really do a good job of painting the game.

He knows the game and provides some good insights at times ... but is very lethargic in the booth ... low energy, low interest, seems to be waiting for a better gig (manager?) ... seems a little preoccupied with injecting stories of his managing / playing days (which weren't much to speak of) ... probably not a good fit for a young, high energy team and eventual fan base ... doesn't seem to have much chemistry with Staats (but none of the current color guys do) ... Magrane was a better fit for sure ...

I have been a Rays fan since they were the "Devils" and this guy absolutely drives me crazy. I watch every game and find myself screaming at the TV for someone to shove something in his mouth to shut him up. I like Dewayne Staats and Brian Anderson together and find myself muting the TV whenever Kennedy starts his stories about when he was a catcher, manager or the "pitch differential" or "two seamers" the pitchers are throwing - who cares. Your job is to call the game, not to analyze every single pitch, or tell us what every player or manager is "thinking" in every situation. We already have that guy and his name is Tim McCarver.
