Just a Quick Word

After yesterday's game looked like it was becoming unwatchable, the Rays tightened up at the plate and in the field and managed to pull off an unlikely slugfest-type win against Halladay. After giving up a grand slam and looking almost sick, Jeff Niemann locked in after the third and retired ten Blue Jays in a row. What a weird game that was. Did I just fail to notice before how that infield turf at the Rogers Centre eats up ground balls? Can anybody explain why both defenses (but especially the Rays) looked half asleep, particularly at the beginning of the game? It wasn't the prettiest win, by a long shot, but I'll take it.

GO RAYS!!
